Selfishness?

Alright, so I have this neighbor. I ask her sometimes to take me up the road or into town when I'm not able to drive myself. But the only time I ask her is when I know she is going to town or when I know she needs to go to the store. Well at the present moment I was unable to get to work, so I called her to ask if she would take me when she went to town to pick up her daughter so I figured that there was no problem considering she was going that way anyways. Well of course she gives me the bullshit run around about how its out of the way when really and truly it's 5 minutes out of the way. I mean seriously, what the hell is so wrong with doing someone a favor, especially when that person does favors for you all the time. Not to mention the black mail I have on that lady! How many times has she lit up a joint in front of me or pulled out her pipe and chiefed down with me standing next to her while she is trying to hide from her two kids (who by the way are stuck up brats). Anyways, my point here is, instead of complaining or trying to make up excuses, why not try to be less selfish? There is more to the story here but if I honestly wanted to type all of it then we would seriously be here ALL NIGHT ;)
